Our commitment

We want jandlelectricalservices.co.uk to be welcoming, usable and accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our standard of accessibility. (We have currently been working against WCAG 2.1 but are updating to 2.2 where feasible.)

How we’re doing

We have made many improvements, including (but not limited to):

  • Ensuring text contrast meets AA standards
  • Enabling full keyboard navigation for menus and forms
  • Using semantic HTML (headings, ARIA roles, labels)
  • Providing alt text for meaningful images
  • Ensuring focus is visible and logical
  • Testing pages using automated tools and manual checks

However, we recognise some parts still may not fully comply. For example:

  • Some third-party jandlelectricalservices.co.ukug-ins or embedded content may not fully support all accessibility features
  • Older documents or pages may not yet be fully optimised
  • New content or features might have unintended accessibility gaps

We are actively working to fix these issues. We maintain an internal schedule of audits and updates.
